1. Thoroughly clean the area you wish to solder with a stainless steel brush until it is shiny clean.

2. Heat the area evenly.

3. As you heat, rub the rod against the heated area until it melts.

Note: Avoid applying direct heat to the rod, as it may break. If you melt the rod directly, the solder joint will be very weak. Remember not to melt the rod directly.

• These easy-to-melt rods are high-performance rods designed for soldering and brazing of aluminum as well as its alloys. They are also suitable for brazing other non-ferrous materials.
• Ideal for soldering aluminum alloys: 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 3005, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6061, 6951, 7005, as well as cast alloys 710.0 and 711.0
• Applications include truck beds, loading docks, bridges, diamond plates, irrigation pipes, engine blocks, gearboxes, and more.
• Excellent for minor repairs. When safety is a concern, we recommend a complete replacement of components rather than attempting repairs.
