USAGE

• Use a drill press to ensure vertical alignment while creating mortise holes.
• Ensure the diameter of the drill bit matches the width of the mortise hole.
• Begin at each end of the hole and guide the chisel from the ends toward the center.
• After working the ends, work towards the center.
• The wood grain direction and density affect the chisel's ability to cut through the material.
• Smooth the inside of the mortise hole and clean up any excess areas with sandpaper and wood files.
• Once this step is completed, your mortise hole will be ready for a dry fit.
