HOW TO USE:

• Use a drill to hold the bit vertically against the board when cutting mortise holes
• Match the bit's diameter with the width of the mortise hole.
• Start with each end of the hole, chiseling inwards from the ends.
• Once you've done the ends, work your way towards the center.
• The direction of the wood grain and the hardness of the wood species will determine how easily the chisel sets into the lumber.
• Clean the inside of the mortise hole and smooth out any high spots using a combination of sandpaper and wood files.
• Once you have completed this step, the mortise hole will be ready for a dry fit.
